Indian Lime Soda
Juice of 1 lime, divided
1 tablespoon cumin
2 tablespoons celery salt
1 1/2 oz. gin
1/2 oz. simple syrup
Soda water or seltzer
Slice of lime
Directions
Dip the rim of an old-fashioned glass in a plate containing 1/2 the lime juice. Combine the cumin and celery salt on a plate and dab the rim of the glass in it so that only the outer edge is covered. Fill the glass with ice, then add the gin, remaining lime juice, and simple syrup. Top off with soda water. Sprinkle with a pinch of the cumin-and-salt mixture. Garnish with lime slice. Repeat, repeat, repeat.—Caroline McCloskey
